In this webinar, we learned about Vermont FEEDs Northeast Farm to School Institute and the team-building approach they have developed over the years. Jen Cirillo from Shelburne Farms, VT presented and shared their publication, Connecting Classrooms, Cafeterias, Communities: A Guide to Building Integrated Farm to School Programs. We also learned about the Farm to School Institute held in NYS from American Farmland Trust, Food to Institution NYS manager, Stephanie Hsu. Rose Hanson, the food service director from Trumansburg Central School district, shared her experience with the farm to school team approach in her district. Finally, we learned how to build a F2S team and better incorporate the 3 C's: Cafeteria, Classroom, and Community in your programming!
