Towards a True Systems Approach to Reducing Food Loss and Waste
from Farm-to-Table

As part of our current project supported by the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) we are organizing a Virtual Symposium where we will talk about systems approach to reducing food loss and waste. Experts from academia, industry, consumer advocacy and conservation groups will participate in series of short talks and round tables to discuss the emerging technology solutions, economics of reducing food waste/loss and what are the implementation challenges. This two-day event is being organized in collaboration with the Cornell Institute for Food Systems (CIFS), Cornell Institute for Digital Agriculture (CIDA), Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability (ACSF), Food Industry Management Program (FIMP), Business of Food (BoF).
