Chris Knight is a documentary filmmaker, photographer, journalist, and audio-visual technician. He was formally trained in Television and Radio Documentary Production at the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. He currently leads content production at the Science Media Production Center and supports numerous Global Development projects in meeting their media production and communications needs. Since joining Cornell University in 2011 Knight has produced science-based documentaries for Global Development projects in 10 countries. He has filmed and produced hundreds of videos for Cornell University projects and partners on a wide range of subjects including neuroscience, plant breeding, genetics, psychology, international relations, architecture, the arts, soil science, sustainability, nutrition, and global health. Knight is a specialist in remote production, live streaming, and Zoom webinar event planning and live support. He currently assists communication efforts with the Alliance for Science, supporting online and in-person trainings, and serves as co-producer of the Alliance for Science Live webinar series and podcast. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, cycling, and tending to his forest garden and orchard in Trumansburg, NY.
