Serah Dureus ‘25

Serah is returning as a senior concentrating and molecular and cell biology. Last summer she was in CHAMPS, which is a research-based program. This summer, she is doing more research through Cornell NEXUS. She plans to attend medical school after graduation. On campus, she is researching transposable elements in the DNA of zebrafish in the Feschotte Lab. She is also in the biological scholars program, a TA for chemistry, and is in EARS. For fun she likes to play tennis, hang out with friends, and explore Ithaca. To relax, she watches Netflix, Netflix, and plays the piano.

Serah’s words of advice to incoming students:

“Make sure to enjoy the time you have in college, exploring yourself, academics, and the world around you. .”
