Olivia Cheung '25
Olivia is joining us this year as a new student advisor. She is concentrating in General Biology and plans to take a gap year before attending medical school. In the summer of 2022, Olivia conducted research on seaweed aquaculture at the Marine Biological Laboratory. She is a Laidlaw Scholar and spent the summer of 2023, in Ithaca doing research on harmful algal blooms and volunteering at Cayuga Medical Center. This summer, she will be in Sydney, Australia doing public health research on measles! Olivia is a member of the Murdock Lab and researches the effects of temperature and humidity on mosquito biology and malaria transmission. She is passionate about the intersections between climate change, social justice, and health. Olivia is an intern at the Asian & Asian American Center (A3C), a volunteer at Anabel’s Grocery, a student-run grocery store on campus, and former president of the Residential Sustainability Leaders. In her free time, Olivia enjoys exploring the outdoors, trying new foods, and spending time with friends.
