Josephine Wilson '26
Josephine is an Animal Physiology concentrator and plans to take a gap year to gain more clinical experience before applying to medical school. On campus, Josephine is a member of the Biology Scholars Program, an ambassador for the College of Arts & Sciences, and an RA on North Campus. Her favorite course that she has taken at Cornell so far is BIOG 1445 (Intro to Comparative Anatomy & Physiology, Individualized Instruction). She appreciated the flexibility of the course while still having the incentive of due dates and encouragement of the incredible course staff! Whenever she gets the chance, Josephine enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Ithaca and other parts of upstate New York. She also loves reading, listening to music, and spending time with her friends. In the past, she was a PSSP Peer Mentor. This summer, Josephine completed a medical internship and shadowed!
Her words of encouragement for incoming students
“As difficult as it can be, try your best not to compare yourself to others. Remember, your journey is unique, so focus on your own progress and celebrate your achievements. Set realistic goals, take care of yourself, and don't hesitate to seek support when needed. Stay positive, cultivate gratitude, and remember that setbacks are temporary. You've got this!”
