The Biological Sciences major is offered in both the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Arts & Sciences. The major is administered by The Office of Undergraduate Biology.
Frieda Nemon ‘25
Frieda is a returning senior student advisor concentrating in Neurobiology and Behavior. She spent her first summer researching in the Goldberg Lab in Ithaca, her second summer taking Physics E&M at UC Berkeley, and this summer she will be completing her honors thesis in the Goldberg Lab and traveling! Frieda plans to work in biotech for a few years after graduation before returning to school to obtain a PhD in Neurobiology. On campus, she researches in the Goldberg Lab which broadly studies dopamine in the midbrain, and her honors thesis explores the convergence of parrot vocalizations during courtship. Frieda is a TA for Introduction to Neuroscience, researches in the Goldberg Lab, and work at Temple of Zeus. She loves to hike, bike, scuba dive, or do anything outdoors. She also practices film photography, plays guitar, and reads books.
Frieda’s words of advice for incoming students:
“Trusting yourself and your abilities is always important. Don’t doubt what you are capable of!”
