Aiman Sabaawy '26

Aiman is a biochemistry concentrator and plans to pursue an MD/PhD degree and work as a physician-scientist. He is a member of the Hu Lab, where he investigates the cellular causes of and responses to dysregulated TDP43, a protein implicated in neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS and Alzheimer's. He is also a part of Club Soccer, Cornell HEART, and a CALS ambassador. His favorite class has been CHEM 3600: Honors Organic Chemistry II. For fun, Aiman likes to play soccer, go on runs, work out, and have poker nights with his friends! In past summer, Aiman completed a research internship at CU Denver.This summer, he worked and volunteered at a hospital and clinic.

“Come in with an open mind! It's easy to try too hard to replicate your social sphere from back home or continue the same hobbies you had and miss out on the new experiences college can offer!”
