Victoria Alkin '23

Victoria is concentrating in Neurobiology & Behavior with plans to attend medical school after graduation. She does research in the Deitcher Lab, serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell Undergraduate Research Journal, and is the Committee Chair of the Cornell Undergraduate Research Board. For fun, she enjoys songwriting, singing and playing guitar, running, hiking, biking, reading, and spending time with friends. Victoria’s favorite classes are BIONB 2220: Neurobiology and Behavior II: Intro to Neuroscience and LAW 4131: The Nature, Functions, and Limits of Law. In previous summers, she has interned at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, volunteered at a doctor’s office, and shadowed surgery at a hospital.  She is looking forward to helping with info sessions and research-related events.

Victoria’s words of advice for new students

“Don't be afraid to try new things, join clubs and be involved on campus, and take classes in areas that seem interesting to you even if they're outside of the requirements. You're going to have a great time at Cornell!”
