Tharra Sethurathnam ‘25
Tharra is concentrating in Human Nutrition and plans to do clinical research for 1-2 years before attending graduate school for nutrition! Tharra is currently doing research on the effect of metal ion limitation on the growth of Bacillus subtilis in the Helmann Lab, is a CALS student ambassador, an execute board member of the Hindu Student Council, and is a writer for the Cornell Undergraduate Research Magazine. Last summer, she was a research fellow at the Institute for the Advancement of Food and Nutrition, and this summer, she will be doing research at the O’Brien Lab at Cornell! Her favorite courses so far are NS 3450 and BIOG 1445, and in her free time, Tharra loves to go on walks and read science fiction novels!
