Sean Choi '24

Sean is concentrating in Microbiology with plans to attend medical school, potentially after taking a gap year.  On campus, he is involved with the Korean American Student Association, the Varna Volunteer Fire Department (as an EMT), Birding Club, Big Red Bears, and Cornell Bowling Club.  In Spring 2022, he started conducting research on adherent and invasive E. coli at the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine.  Sean is an avid Cornell enthusiast and is more than willing to talk about Cornell.  In his free time, he enjoys relaxing in the AD White Library, playing soccer at Schoellkopf and tennis at Risley, fishing, and birdwatching.  His favorite course at Cornell has been FWS 1170: Short Stories.  This past summer he stayed in Ithaca to conduct research at the Vet College, in addition to volunteering with local organizations.

Sean's words of advice to new students:

“Don’t stress!  Take everything step-by-step.  Enjoy Cornell.  Everything will be OK.  Also, you are in good hands in the  OUB!  YOU BELONG.”
