Priyanka Menon ’23

Priyanka is concentrating in Neurobiology & Behavior with plans to attend medical school after taking a gap year.  On campus and in Ithaca, she is involved with Cornell Brain Exercise Initiative, PreMed Minority Mentorship (PreM3), Nazaqat Indian Classical Dance Team, Phi Delta Epsilon professional fraternity, volunteering at Cayuga Medical Center, and is an Arts and Sciences Ambassador. Priyanka is involved in research at the Zamudio Lab, where she studies team-based learning approaches in STEM education, helping to develop pedagogical strategies that engage and retain students in the biological sciences.  She is also engaged in nerve regeneration research at Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine.  Priyanka’s favorite class is BIONB 2220: Neurobiology and Behavior II: Introduction to Neuroscience.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and trying new foods.  In previous summers, she has been involved in undergraduate research on the Cornell campus and at Emory University, and has scribed at Kaiser Permanente.  Priyanka is looking forward to meeting the incoming freshman class and helping them navigate their journey at Cornell!
