Juan Delgado Mayo '24

Juan is concentrating in Neurobiology and Behavior with plans to take a gap year for travel, research, or Peace Corps before attending medical school.  On campus, Juan is a member of Phi Delta Epsilon, the Mediocre Melodies A Cappella Group, and a Genetics TA.  He conducts research in the DeVoogd Lab, studying neuroanatomy.  For fun, Juan enjoys running, working out, painting, watching movies, listening to music, cooking food with friends, and thrifting.  Juan is a virgo, a first-generation immigrant student originally from Cuba, and his favorite foods are burritos and sushi.  In previous summers, he has worked as a Clinical Research Assistant for the Keck School of Medicine at USC, where he conducted Alzheimer’s Research.  This past summer, Juan worked as a course assistant for the Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholars Program and continued his research in the DeVoogd Lab.  His favorite course at Cornell so far has been PSYCH 2940: Better Decisions in Life, Love, & Money.

Her advice for incoming students:

“It gets so so so much better!  Take advantage of as many opportunities as you can!  You never know what you’ll find! J”
