John McKie '23

John is concentrating in General Biology/Microbiology with plans to attend medical school.  On campus, he is involved with Cornell Catholic as the New Student Outreach Committee Chair, plays sprint football and intramural volleyball, and does TAing.  He participates in research at the Levitsky Lab.  In his free time, John likes to play sports of pretty much any kind, watching TV and movies, spending time with friends, and cooking.  His favorite courses at Cornell have been CHEM 3580 and Biochem.  In previous summers, John has worked as a lifeguard, which he really enjoyed as it allowed him to interact with lots of different people and connect with his community.

His words of encouragement for incoming students

“SEEK help!!  Asking for help does not make you weak!  We are here to help.  Most of all!!  Work hard!”
