James Moran ’23

James concentrates in Human Nutrition with plans to attend medical school after graduation. On campus, he is involved with Cornell PreSOMA and Guiding Eyes for the Blind.  For fun, James likes to read, swim, run, cook, and try new foods with friends. His favorite class is ENGL 2707: Poetry and Mathematics, because it allowed him to consider mathematical and scientific concepts from a new perspective.  In previous summers, he has worked as a lifeguard, pursued first aid training and volunteered with a marine science camp.

James’ words of advice for incoming students:

“Don't worry about filling up your first semester with major and distribution requirements. Try and take at least one class because you think you'll enjoy it. It will help you adjust to a college environment and will help reduce the stress of your first semester.”
