The Biological Sciences major is offered in both the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Arts & Sciences. The major is administered by The Office of Undergraduate Biology.
Elliot McGinnity Schneider '23
Elliot is concentrating in Microbiology with plans to attend graduate school and pursue a PhD in microbiology. On campus, he is a Flute Section Leader in the Big Red Marching Band! His favorite class has been BIOMI 2911: General Microbiology Laboratory. Elliot is a member of the Rose Scholars Program and conducts research at Dr. Rebecca Nelson’s lab, investigating mechanisms of fungal resistance in corn crops. He has also pursued microbiology research at the University of Wisconsin Madison. For fun, Elliot enjoys going to the Lindseth Climbing Center. This academic year, he is looking forward to orientation and welcoming new students to Cornell!
