Doreen Dong ‘24

Doreen concentrates in Genetics, Genomics & Development with plans to attend an MD/PhD program after graduation.  On campus, she is a TA for CHEM 2070, serves as secretary of the Steminist Movement club, participates in P3, and is a Big Red Athletics tutor.  In addition, she previously conducted research at the Lin Lab in the College of Veterinary Medicine.  For fun, Doreen enjoys drawing, hiking, hanging out with friends, and running.  In terms of favorite Cornell courses, she found LAW 2650: Psychology and Law to be super interesting.  In previous summers, Doreen has conducted research on campus and at Weill Cornell in NYC, and has shadowed at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Doreen's words of advice to incoming students:

“Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone!  Cornell can seem intimidating at first, but trying new things and reaching out to new people can help Cornell feel more like home.”
