Alexis Shatzman '23

Alexis is concentrating in Human Nutrition with plans to attend medical school and become a physician.  On campus, she is a member of the Cornell Women’s Squash Team.  She is involved in research at Dr. Xingen Lei’s lab in the Department of Animal Science, studying enzymes and antibody exposure.  For fun, Alexis enjoys playing squash, hanging out with friends and family, and going for runs.  Her favorite courses at Cornell so far have been NS 1150 and NS 3150. This past summer she worked at a lab and shadowed a physician at Jefferson Hospital, in addition to studying for the MCAT.

She is super excited to be a Student Advisor, and is looking forward to meeting everyone.

Her words of advice

“It is okay to feel overwhelmed when coming into a new environment, but it is important to remember that there are lots of people/resources to go to!”
