This event is part of the Fruit IPM for the Home Garden and Landscapes Conference.
We’ll discuss a few of the common insect, disease, wildlife, and weed pests that affect berries. Traps and scouting equipment to monitor for these pests will be on hand for participants to view. We will also talk about the time-sensitive nature of monitoring for pests and how to do this in your landscape.

Laura McDermott
CCE, ENYCHP
Laura McDermott is the Regional Berry Specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Program where she assists commercial small fruit growers with a wide variety of concerns including pest management, production system questions, marketing, and food safety concerns. Laura holds a B.S. degree in Plant Science from Cornell University and a M.S. degree in Fruit Crops from the University of Florida.
