About
As Graduate Field Coordinator for the Department of Global Development, Allison provides support for students in the Ph.D. and MPS programs, and is the first point of contact for questions about Graduate School and Field policies, program structure, funding, deadlines, and campus resources. She serves as a liaison between students, faculty, and the Graduate School. She encourages students to drop by her office and ask anything.
Allison has worked in various student services roles with both graduate and undergraduate students at Cornell. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry Writing from Cornell, where she has taught a number of first-year writing seminars and creative writing courses. She has also taught writing at Tompkins Cortland Community College and worked in a college access center helping low-income students navigate the college application process. As a first-generation college student, she especially enjoys demystifying bureaucratic processes and connecting students with resources.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys reading, writing, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
