Committee Structure and Composition

The Working Committee is the primary oversight body for the Plan, reviewing and critically assessing work as it emerges. The Executive Committee is the senior decision making group within the Working Committee. The CALS CF&PC Committee will ensure that the Plan is fully integrated with other university initiatives and especially Cornell’s Comprehensive Master Plan.

There may be, as appropriate, joint meetings of the Working Committee and CALS CF+PC, but each committee will report independently to the Executive Committee. This committee and working structure will ensure ongoing collaboration and communication, yet CALS and the broader University will each have their own distinct voice. The ultimate responsibility for the final direction of the plan will reside with the Executive Committee, who will submit the final plan to the Trustees and SUCF.

Working Committee

The objective of this committee is to shape and promote a plan that is in the best interest of CALS. This body will provide input to the planning process, review and critically assess work as it emerges, and make recommendations to the Executive Committee around key milestone in the plan’s evolution.
