DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: Nomination Memo - Late December. Final Dossier - Early February.
ELIGIBILITY: Nominations for the award must be drawn from individuals presently serving in full-time professional service (not classified service) capacities with more than 50 percent of the assignment in non-teaching services. Specific categories included for this award are academic administration, business affairs, student affairs, institutional support technologies, instructional and research support technologies, and directors of the campus libraries. Persons nominated by the campus must have completed at least three years of continuous full-time professional service (not classified service) in the position for which nominated. Recipients of an Excellence Award may not be re-nominated for an award in the same category. Posthumous nominations are ineligible. Recipients of an Excellence Award may not be nominated for another Excellence award within a 10 year period. See Call for Nominations for exclusions.
SPECIFICS: Nominees for the award should be individuals who have repeatedly sought improvement of themselves, their campuses and ultimately State University and, in doing so, have transcended the normal definitions of excellence. At all position levels, nominees shall be those individuals who can serve as professional role models for a University system in the pursuit of excellence. A summary of accomplishments (limited to a maximum of 5 pages) and a CV are required for nominations.
