Programs and Institutes

Development Sociology extension/outreach programs combine applied research and outreach education in a seamless fashion. Each of these programs has several on-going activities within them and are led by dedicated Development Sociology faculty. The Department of Development Sociology is also home to several special programs that support larger college and university initiatives. These programs link the applied research of the Department to the Cornell community, and off-campus organizations engaged in rural, community and international development.  The Department of Development Sociology conducts applied research and educational outreach offering research-based information.
