The CALS Student Service's Office is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 am – 5:00 PM, Tuesday's from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 PM.

Who do I ask about my Graduation Summary?
Students can view their Graduation Summary online at https://dust.cals.cornell.edu. If you have specific questions about your Graduation Summary, please contact the CALS Student Service's Office at(607) 255-2257 or cals-studentservices@cornell.edu.
Where can I get a copy of my transcript?
Official transcripts are available free of charge from the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) in B-7 Day Hall and on-line at http://transcript.cornell.edu. The CALS Student Service's Office cannot process requests for official or unofficial transcripts. Complete information about transcript requests can be found on the OUR website.
I received a copy of my transcript, and a course with a failing grade appears, but I dropped it, what do I do?
First, make sure before each drop deadline that the courses you are enrolled for are courses that you are attending and plan on completing throughout the semester. If you notice after the semester ends that a course is still on your transcript with a grade of "F", this course was never dropped. To remove this course from your record you will need to file a petition. Stop by the CALS Student Service's Office front desk at 140 Roberts Hall.
Where can I get a Letter of Good Standing and verification of GPA?
The CALS Student Service's Office can provide this information for CALS students. Students should come to 140 Roberts Hall to complete a “Request Form.”
Where can I get a Certification of Full-Time Enrollment?
Certifications of Full-Time Enrollment are available through the Office of the University Registrar in B-7 Day Hall and on-line at http://certification.cornell.edu. The CALS Student Service's Office cannot process these requests. Complete information about enrollment verification can be found on the OUR website at http://certification.cornell.edu/.
Who completes the Dean’s Certification Forms for professional schools?
In the CALS Student Service's Office Torrey Jacobs completes these forms. You must fill out a release form at the time you hand in the Dean’s Recommendation Forms. Please include addressed stamped envelopes with your request. Plan ahead; this process can take up to 2 weeks.
How do I transfer credits back to CALS if I take a course over the summer or while I am on a leave of absence?
Students are strongly encouraged to complete a pre-approval form for non-Cornell credit prior to completing course work at another institution.The CALS Student Service's Office must receive an official transcript from the institution where you completed the course(s). The credits will transfer as long as a grade of “C“ or better is achieved, the course does not duplicate other coursework previously taken, and you have not exceeded the maximum of 60 transfer credits. You should check with your faculty advisor if you plan to take courses for major credit. Only your advisor can make those determinations.

How do I receive credit for college coursework I completed while in high school?
If you have completed college courses while in high school, documentation is required to confirm that the courses meet the transfer credit criteria set forth by both the college and the university. When applying for such credits, students should submit both a high school and college verification form. The high school form confirms that the course work was not applied toward high school graduation requirements. The college form confirms that the course work consisted of standard college courses open to all college students. A student can earn up to 30 academic credits prior to matriculating into CALS as a first time student (this includes course work completed in college, IB credit, AP credit, GCE credit and CASE credit)
Do I have to apply to graduate?
Yes. All seniors must complete Parts I and II of the Application to Graduate. Part I is available in DUST under "Seniors Only: Apply to Graduate." Once Part I is completed, Part II will be emailed to the student. It is also available in 140 Roberts Hall. Part II outlines the outstanding requirements for the major(s) and any minors. The student will complete this in-person with their faculty advisor(s) and submit the completed form to the CALS Student Service's Office in 140 Roberts Hall. Part II is due October 16th for January candidates and December 18th for May candidates. Students who fail to submit an Application to Graduate may not be eligible for graduation.

Cum Laude:
Cumulative GPA of greater than or equal to 3.5 and less than 3.75.
Magna Cum Laude:
Cumulative GPA of greater than or equal to 3.75 and less than 4.0.
Summa Cum Laude:
Cumulative GPA of greater than or equal to 4.0.
How can I get my grades at the end of the semester?
The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) no longer sends student grades by mail. Students can see their grades on Student Center or by ordering a transcript from OUR at http://transcript.cornell.edu.
If I have to miss a class due to illness or family emergency, whom should I notify?
You can notify the CALS Student Services team (607.255.2257) located in 140 Roberts Hall.
