Job Description

Provide support and expertise in statistics and mathematical modeling
Ability to initiate analytical research and provide technical support to the Insect Control group in biometry
Support Insect Control group with novel methodologies for statistical analysis of complex biological systems
Support Insect Control group to optimize sampling and scoring methodologies for trait sorting
Work with Biostatistician to create mathematical models that may be used as part of trait regulatory packages

Job Qualifications

Educational Qualifications Desired:

Master's degree in statistics, biology, entomology, ecology, or related field
Up to 2 years of related experience or equivalent amounts of relevant education and experience

Competencies and Experience Desired:

Experience in a research environment with emphasis on biometry and experimental design
Research experience in the areas of insect field biology and ecology, experimental design, data analysis, insect pest management, and / or soybean insect pest management highly desirable
Strong background in biostatistics highly desirable
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work within a diverse, team-oriented research group
Good organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
Must be available to travel as required
