Job Description

Lead all aspect of the Freshwater Conservation Program
Program emphasis will be on landscape-scale conservation aimed at large, high-biodiversity aquatic systems
Identify effective Nature Conservancy roles and strategies in freshwater conservation
Developing capacity and delivering support to Conservancy field staff in a variety of arenas
Building effective partnerships with public and private organizations
Supervise staff based in several locations throughout the state
Areas of focus will include program development, strategic planning, program delivery to field staff, partnership building, fundraising, and management of staff

Job Qualifications

BA / BS degree (advanced degree preferred) in natural sciences / natural resource planning or equivalent professional experience
At least 5-7 years related experience in natural areas planning or management
Expert knowledge of freshwater ecology, conservation biology, hydrology and public policy, and experience in applying this knowledge to set and achieve conservation outcomes
Ability to work in a team environment with other professionals, excellent communication skills, and supervisory experience required
