Job Description

• Supervision and Program Management: Monitor the distribution of overall work assignment, assure communication among staff, and manage multiple tasks to support the Office's mission. Provide the vision, oversee the design, implementation, and assessment of the Office's programs.
• Relationships & Networks: Design, implement, and assess an integrated outreach at targeted constituents to increase the number of experiential, networking, and employment opportunities available to students.
• Serve as a liaison to faculty
• Integrating Technology: Evaluate and develop a working knowledge of the technology needed to manage programming sponsored by the Office of Career Services
• Career Counseling: Counsel student individually and in groups on career assessment, goal setting, and employment and / or graduate school selection. Conduct and facilitate workshops
• Professional Involvement: Represent the office in local and national professional associations by serving on committees and presenting at conferences

 

Job Qualifications

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Student Personnel Administration, or equivalent
• Two to five years of relevant experience, preferably in a college environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Preference given to candidates who can manage multiple tasks, have demonstrated sound judgement, team management skills, effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create and build on relationships with students, employers, faculty, and alumni
• Speak persuasively to small and large groups
• Experience in data gathering, data analysis, and reporting
• Proficient in the use of web based recruiting software

* Occasional work on evenings and weekends and some travel is required
