Job Description
Position Title: Association Youth Development Resource Educator
Location: Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County, Middletown, NY
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing leadership in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and marketing comprehensive educational youth programs. Provides primary support for 4-H volunteer management that includes the 4-H club delivery system, including supervision of three half-time program assistants who market, organize and maintain volunteer driven 4-H clubs. Priority is coordination of training and support for volunteers teaching life skills to youth. Responsible for program development as well as volunteer recruitment and management for the following subject areas: Natural Resources, Food & Nutrition, Plant Science, and Clothing & Textiles. Provides County Fair and State Fair exhibit leadership and coordination in assigned areas. Responsible for 4-H public presentations and 4-H Leaders Recognition programs along with coordination of multiple county events. Represents Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County to the public, community leaders, government officials, and Cornell University. Works as a team member in addressing local, regional and statewide programming priorities.

Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
Masters degree required with related experience.
Needs to provide reliable transportation appropriate to the implementation of the responsibilities in the position. Must be willing to travel, work frequent evenings and weekends. Must be able to transport visual aids, tables, meeting materials, etc.
Preferred subject matter major in Education, Youth Development, Human Development, Family and Consumer Sciences or other fields related to program management and youth development.
Two years of relevant experience in Cooperative Extension, 4-H Youth Development or other youth serving organizations.
