Description of Duties:

Position Summary

J.B. Hunt Dedicated Contract Services® (DCS) specializes in the design, development, and execution of customized supply chain solutions.  We help our customers move their freight more effectively, and we manage the operation for them. Within DCS, JBHT Agri Transportation Services specializes in bulk and bag delivery services to farms, mills or retailers. Our professional drivers deliver bulk product by boom, blow pipe, dump or hopper within our specialized equipment.  We also deliver packaged product by hand delivery, hand trucks or pallet jacks into our customer’s facility. 

 

In DCS, we understand our customers' business needs, and deliver the right combination of people, assets and ideas that make a measurable bottom-line difference.

 

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of your account’s daily operation, which includes maintaining revenue generation, safety, equipment maintenance, payroll and billing, and ensuring Customer Value Delivery™.  The environment is challenging, fast-paced, and very rewarding!

 

Responsibilities

• Manage daily      activities of drivers and Operations Supervisor
• Provide continual      development of business and personal relationships with the customer
• Maintain      performance metrics and participate in customer meetings
• Monitor and train      drivers to promote company safety culture
• Coordinate Human      Resource functions such as hiring, discipline and terminations
• Route freight to      maximize miles per truck/driver
• Responsible for      account profitability and growth
• Monitor compliance      with safety and Department of Transportation regulations
• Review      preventative maintenance and schedule necessary services
• Reduce driver      turnover by utilizing JB Hunt’s Driver Dedicated program
• Other duties as      required

Job Qualifications

 

 

Qualifications/Requirements

• 4 year degree     preferably in agriculture with minimum G.P.A. of 2.7 and…
• 7-11months related     experience or…
• Equivalent     combination plus  years experience     with J.B. Hunt
• Must have great     organizational skills and the ability to multi task
• Knowledge of     Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Willing to work     flexible hours
