The FSNE Project Leader, Evaluation and Reporting Coordinator is a full-time non-tenure track faculty Associate Agent position. (A minimum of 30 hours a week would be considered.) The position is part of the Food Stamp Nutrition Education program (FSNE) conducted by the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension. FSNE provides nutrition programming to food stamp participants and those income eligible for food stamps. The evaluation coordinator will collaborate with FSNE state office staff to evaluate nutrition education programs and develop/monitor systems (web based and paper) to collect, analyze and report qualitative, quantitative and demographic data. The position will be housed at the University of Maryland's Food Stamp Nutrition Education program, a unit of MCE.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the collection, monitoring and analysis of data from FSNE online data collection systems.
- Coordinate FSNE formative, process, and outcome data entry and analysis. Develop research protocols and write IRB applications to facilitate data collection as necessary. Develop annual evaluation report including demographics, quantitative and qualitative evaluation, and other dissemination means
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate students.
- Assist in the development of the FSNE annual project proposal and management of project plan of work.
- Provide new staff orientation and ongoing staff training on FSNE evaluation systems, protocols, data collection and analysis.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and events at the state and local level to disseminate research findings and/or strengthen job-related skills.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
Required –
- Bachelor's degree and five years related work experience or Master's degree and three years related work experience.
- Applicants must be self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with expertise in community program evaluation.
· A strong academic record.
· Strong computer skills. Experience with SPSS and other databases.
· A valid driver's license and access to an automobile for travel to FSNE trainings and meetings.
Preferred –
- Master's Degree
- Experience in developing program evaluation systems and protocols.
- Experience in developing instruments and assessments for a low-literacy audience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
