Job Description
Foundry Capital, a Paris based finance company, is creating a new holding company called Global Farms to buy, renovate and operate agricultural land globally. The Company will be headquartered in the Netherlands, although the executive could work mainly from another major commercial center if necessary. The Global Farms business plan calls for the deployment of substantial capital leading to an eventual IPO within three years. Foundry is looking for a CFO to oversee all finance elements of the business including its capital markets activities, internal reporting and controls, and financing facilities. The CFO will be a partner in the Company with a substantial opportunity for wealth creation opportunity through equity options. The Global Farms position is for a highly effective, international-minded executive interested in agriculture, global food security, finance, and is passionate about building a multi-billion dollar business in a short period of time from the ground up.
Job Qualifications
Foundry is looking for a highly experienced, credible and effective financial executive with deep agriculture experience to join Global Farms. The applicant should have experience in creating and managing financial reporting systems, understanding the details of risk management for agriculture producers and marketers including hedging, have superior presentation skills to investors and lenders, and can both hire and manage a growing team. Ability to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere, but with high degrees of professionalism, is essential.
