Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Work with the US team of research and development scientists in agricultural production, seed testing and environmental sciences:
- Plan, organize, and execute all phases of field research trial program, such as evaluations in row and silage crops to collect data for variety development and identification for farms in central New York and surrounding states.
- Select sites for trials and manage all necessary agronomic practices. Work closely with SynTech and its partners' management and scientists to provide invaluable research services to clients.
- Establish crops, manage irrigation and applications of plant food and crop protection pesticides on a timely basis as requested by protocol.
- Take assessment of agronomic parameters related to growth and health of crops, collect needed plant samples, harvest plots and keep plots clean of pests.
- Enter data into computer programs, generate reports and prepare plant and soil samples for shipment and laboratory testing.
- Be physically able and willing to work in climate and field conditions of Northeast US climate.

Job Qualifications
Requirements and Skill
- Minimum of BS with 4 years of field experience or MS with 2 years of field experience in Agricultural sciences, preference in Agronomy, plant breeding, seed technology and or pest management.
- Have a good knowledge of the computer and data management.
- Fluent in English writing, reading and speaking.
- Be flexible and willing to work in a team environment, particularly with SynTech US and its partner teams.
