About the position

This position is located in one of the diagnostic laboratories of the

National Veterinary Services Laboratories, Veterinary Services,

Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Ames, Iowa. The

basic mission of the unit is to protect the health and value of

American agriculture and natural resources. The purpose of this

position is to provide support for program personnel in the

laboratory setting.



APHIS is an emergency response agency. This means that all

Agency employees may be asked or assigned to participate in rotating

temporary duty assignments to support emergency programs at some
