Job Description
Growing international sugar company looking for a unique individual to perform quality and process control tasks at their NJ facility.
Key duties include:
1. Researches and develops improvements to liquid sugar process including process optimization.
2. Assures that raw and finished products meet company and customer specifications and standards.
3. Champions process improvements and resolutions of food safety issues.
4. Communicates with corporate QA and QC personnel at other company facilities to seek continual improvement of plant operations.
5. Ensures compliance with food laws and regulations as well as company policies/procedures/standards.
6. Manages and audits HACCP program internally and audits external suppliers as needed.
7. Participates in an coordinates AIB and other agency inspections.
8. Assures all Food Safety/HACCP information is obtained and integrated for new product innovations.
9. Collects raw material samples and finished product samples for laboratory analysis.
10. Performs laboratory analysis on daily basis and maintains records.
11. Ensures compliance with defective material reports and actions.
Job Qualifications
Successful candidates must be self-motivated, flexible, and have a willingness to learn. Team player, good communication skills, willingness to travel on limited basis.
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Chemistry.
