Job Description
The FSNE Nutrition Educator and Project Leader at the Engaged University is a full-time non-tenure track Associate Agent position. The position is part of the Food Stamp Nutrition Education program (FSNE) conducted by the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension. FSNE provides nutrition programming to food stamp participants and those income eligible for food stamps. The educator will deliver nutrition education programs to food stamp participants in Prince George's County and provide leadership to the project. The position will be housed at the Engaged University's office.

Qualifications:
Required –
· Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition, health education, or a related field.
· Applicants must be self-motivated, flexible, innovative, and resourceful with skills and experience in conducting community-based education programs.
· A valid driver’s license and access to an automobile for travel in
Preferred –
· Master’s Degree.
· Experience in community organizing and/or partnering with grassroots communities and schools.
· Experience in writing grants and securing funds for projects.
· Experience working with diverse community stakeholders.
· Experience in conducting nutrition education activities involving food.
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with experience, with base salary of $40,000.00 (40 hours/week). The University of Maryland offers an extensive benefits package.
