Job Description
Lecturer - Environmental Studies Program - College Park Scholars
Responsibilities:
Required-
-Direct and manage College Park Scholars - Environmental Studies.
-Teach Environmental Studies curricula with possible additional teaching duties in Environmental Science and Policy.
-Plan, lead and/or supervise co-curricula field trips; hire and supervise an Assistant Director and teaching assistants.
-Represent Environmental Studies and/or participate in College Park Scholars program-wide activities, such as admissions and recruitment activities, Service Day, Family Weekend, Scholars in New York, and monthly meetings of faculty directors.
Job Qualifications
Required-
-Graduate degree - Masters degree in a field to environmental studies required. Graduate background could include environmental science, studies, management or law; or student affairs and counseling with a demonstrated interest in environmental studies or a related field.
-Two years of teaching experience at the college-level.
Preferred-
-Ph.D or J.D.
-Teaching at the college-level preferred; experience teaching high school juniors and seniors acceptable.
Salary
Commensurate with experience.
