Job Description
Oversee field installation of groundwater monitoring wells, UST closures, and remedial action for contaminated soil. Collect soil and groundwater samples in accordance with NYSDEC protocols and procedures. Work on environmental due diligence projects. Assist in the evaluation of analytical data and preparation of field memos, daily reports, boring logs and client correspondence.
Job Qualifications
B.S. in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field. Minimum one year of experience in environmental consulting. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must successfully complete a medical examination designed to evaluate ability to: (1) perform physical activity requirements of work assignments (eg. bending, kneeling, standing, confined-space entry, and lifting and carrying objects weighing 30lbs), (2) work on hazardous waste sites as defined by OSHA Standard 29 CFR Part 1910.120 and (3) wear an air-purifying respirator as required by OSHA Standard 29 CFR Part 1910.134, Respiratory Protection. Must be willing to work at job sites in New Jersey and New York, and to provide own transportation to job assignments. Valid Driver's License required.
