Job Description
Friendly, fun-loving farm family seeking apprentices/interns to help us run our 50-acre biodynamic/organic farm. This includes growing our 4-5 acre market garden with a CSA and farmer's market component as well as helping to care for the animals (cows, pigs, sheep, horses, fowl, and rabbits). Caring for the bees (we are home to the bee sanctuary) is optional. Our farm is located in the beautiful Hudson River Valley and central to many progressive, well-established, sustainable farms.
Furnished accommodations (either a 1 bedroom apartment attached to the 1840s farm house or a very nice mobile home with all amenities situated in a private area of the woodlands) with all utilities, access to telephone and internet, CRAFT membership, room to test/grow your own pet projects and possible vehicle. Free produce and some meats.
Job Qualifications
Agriculture related major and a hard worker.
Salary
Stipend of $800 per month and higher depending on skills and experience. Day labor wage also varies based on skills and experience.
