Public Health Sanitarian sought for full-time position with the Madison County Health Department. Duties involve applying the principles of the natural and social sciences for the detection, evaluation, control and management of those factors in the environment which influence the public's health. Principal activities will be in the community sanitation and food protection programs.
Job Qualifications
Completion of a NYSDOH approved public health training course is required within two years of start of employment. A current NYS driver's license and a Bachelor's Degree including a minimum of 30 semester credit hours in the natural sciences, of which not more than 12 credit hours may be in applied sciences; or five years of experience as a public health technician and the satisfactory completion of a public health training course approved by the State Health Department, are required.
Salary
18.16/hr; excellent fringe benefits offered including health insurance and NYS Retirement.
