Job Description
Located in the Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab (FADDL), National Veterinary Services Labs (NVSL), or Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC). Incumbent is responsible for organizing and managing a wide variety of standard techniques in performing diagnostic tests, reagent production, developmental studies, and training assignments with exotic and endemic animal disease causing agents.

Minimum qualifications (GS-6/7/8 Grade Levels):
1 year specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the next lower level in the Federal Service. This experience is typically in, or related to, the work of the positions being filled and must have equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below.
GS-6 Level: 9 semester hours of graduate level education in microbiology, biology or chemistry.
GS-7 Level: 18 semester hours of graduate level education in microbiology, biology or chemistry.
GS-8 Level: 27 semester hours of graduate level education in microbiology, biology or chemistry.
Salary
