Job Description
Grassroots Field Coordinators working on critical campaigns for clean energy in order to fight global warming and create new manufacturing jobs in the energy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Taking charge of additional campaign field work including petition and letter-writing drives, coalition-building, news conferences and grassroots lobbying.
- Canvassing 3-4 days/week to train staff, raise money, identify and activate members, educate the public on the issues, and identify volunteers.
- Assisting the directors in recruiting, training and managing a staff of 10-40 canvassers.
We have positions available now for offices in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NV, OH, OR, PA, RI, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI and Washington, DC.
Job Qualifications
Smart, motivated, action-oriented people who are interested in politics, have a commitment to working for the public interest, and are willing to work hard to make change. Must have stamina and be resourceful on a tight budget. Must be able to convey the sense of urgency and passion you feel about these issues (in-depth training on campaign strategies, issues and skills is provided).
- Work campaign hours with a minimum commitment through the November election.
Salary
23,750 (except in NY & CA)
