Job Description
- Daily inspections of apples being packed for various grade and condition standards at satellite pack houses, the main plant in Milton, and of apple lots arriving from outside growers.
- Transportation of various items between pack houses such as packing supplies and paperwork.
- Seasonal farm inspections at various locations where apples are being picked for storage and packing.
- Participation in regular management meeting and in any HRFD operation.
- Participate in launching and maintaining a computerized inventory management system.
- Fill in for shipping and receiving position and for pack house manager when necessary.
Job Qualifications
- Looking for a candidate with a background in food science who also has some interests in business (i.e. a minor or double major in AEM).
- Organized with strong time management skills.
- Ability to interface with people of various personalities.
- Computer literate.
