Job Description
The County Operations Trainee position is a training program to prepare an individual to become a County Executive Director (CED). As a CED, responsibilities include administering federal farm programs related to commodities, conservation, livestock, and disaster assistance. Will apply leadership and direction to an office staff to coordinate the administration of approved farm programs. More specifically:
- Development and administration of FSA policy, programs, software, and operations.
- Training to prepare written communications and speak effectively before groups.
- Participates in various community activities + organizations.
Job Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of farming practices and customs; farm operations and farm programs.
- Ability to plan work and make decision independently.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing (including public speaking).
- Knowledge and experience with computer software and applications.
