Job Description

• Aid in managing livestock and farm facilities in a low-input farm focused on poultry and vegetables
• Instruct staff in animal health/handling and facility maintenance
• Aid in designing the agriculture curriculum
• Teach classes and workshops in basic agricultural practices such as: livestock health, nutrition, anatomy and handling.
• Creating and strengthening enterprises for selected high-demand agricultural products
• Start date: 8/20/08 (flexible). End date: 1/1/09 (possible extension)

Job Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate:

• BS in Animal Science with a focus in international ag or related fields
• Experience working or volunteering in developing countries and an interest in international and rural development
• Experience in management and an entrepreneurial spirit
