Job Description
Work with Product Development team and independently in conjunction with purchasing to generate significant annual cost savings within value added meat/poultry commodities. Act as key contact between Nestle Prepared Foods Company and vendors. Plan, conduct and evaluate necessary test work to meet timelines. Maintain accurate records of work. Propose, develop, test and coordinate the implementation of internal and vendor process improvements. Research and implement new and improved ingredients and technologies/equipment. Participate in team and departmental activities, such as panels, meetings, committees and administrative obligations.
Job Qualifications
MS in Meat Science, Animal Science or Poultry Science is strongly preferred. Knowledge of meat and poultry processing/cooking, suppliers and experience with food processing equipment a must. A minimum of 5 years experience in value added meat/poultry processing.
