Job Description

Manage CCE programs in diabetes education, including county-funded diabetes education and self-management program and New York State funded diabetes prevention and control programs. Supervise, train, advise and provide leadership to diabetes education staff, including registered dieticians, nurses, program educators and support staff. Assist with generating revenue to carry out programs. Provide initiative to develop, plan, implement and evaluate diabetes educational programs for adults and youth. Represent the Association to the public.

Job Qualifications

MS in Nutrition, Public Health, or related field plus minimum of 2 years related experience. Certified Diabetes Educator preferred. Advanced knowledge of principles, theory and research in the area of diabetes education, health and nutrition strongly preferred. At least two years progressively responsible experience in program administration and staff supervision desirable.
