Job Description
Assist in planning and implementing a customized development service for the BOCES and component school districts.
Will organize and facilitate a K-8 Math Coaches Network, providing professional development related to math content and processes, as well as information about the role of a math coach/teacher leader. Provide support for teachers and staff through a range of development opportunities including presentations, discussions, observations with feedback, lesson demonstrations, and facilitation.
Present a variety of multi-day and after school workshops addressing mathematics instructional and management strategies for teachers.

Job Qualifications
Must possess NYS Teacher Certification in Math and have a minimum of 5 years of successful experience as a classroom teacher complemented by a sound repertoire of instructional strategies related to mathematics. Knowledge of NYS Standards, NCTM Standards, current educational trends, initiatives for school reform, and staff development required.
