Job Description
RFI is a manufacturer of innovative natural ingredients for the food, functional food and dietary supplement industries.
- Performs required lab work and/or reference searches in the analytical chemistry and microbiology to facilitate RFI product analyses and development.
- Adopts and applies official analytical methods (AOAC/USP) and other published methods to raw materials and finished products.
- Assists Technical Director in obtaining information about natural products and regulation and methods of their analytical determination procedures from sources such as scientific literature, conferences, seminars, and the Internet.
- Responsible for all required documentation relevant to testing and release of products. Complete Quality Control specifications and related documents with legibility and accuracy.
- Maintains continued compliance to cGMP, HACCP, FDA, Organic, Kosher, and Clients audit requirements.
Job Qualifications
- Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related fields.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, FDA regulations.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures, chemical medical laboratory instrumentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Familiarity with nutraceutical products and their application desirable.
- HPLC expertise preferred.
