Job Description

Market, manage, and maintain STC's Geographic Information Systems program, covering a three county region: Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben Counties, NY.
Market and manage multiple contracts with municipalities and other organizations for GIS services.
Develop mapping and GIS analysis for STC contracts in the fields of Environmental Planning, Land Use Planning, Telecommunications, and Economics and Community Development.
Execute all phases of GIS map generation, including data creation and editing, querying and spatial analysis, map compilation, and map production.

Job Qualifications

MS in GIS, Planning, or related field; one to five years experience preferred; or
MS in Public Administration, Environmental Studies, Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or closely-related field and one year of experience as a consultant or employee in the field of GIS; municipal, community, or regional planning; or related work; or
BS in above fields and one year experience as a consultant or employee in the field of GIS or three years of experience as a consultant or employee in municipal, community, or relational planning.
Will be required to be successful at a Civil Service exam at a later date.
