Job Description
Seeking Greenhouse and Nursery Manager responsible for propagation and growing of plants. Plants are produced for research, plant introduction programs, and the Annual Plant Sale. This position oversees a 7-day, 24-hour operation that carries responsibility for off-schedule and emergency coverage.
- Supervises all greenhouse personnel and volunteers and manages greenhouse and nursery operations.
- Supervises the development and maintenance of growing areas within the complex.
- Responsible for the development and management of the overall budget.

Job Qualifications
- BS in biology, plant science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in greenhouse and nursery management.
- Extensive knowledge of hardy woody plants and propagation methods.
- Experience in integrated pest management.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work outdoors in year-round conditions.
- Willingness and ability to teach arboretum classes and write for professional and/or research publications.
